Lyme disease, scientific name
BORRELIOSIS, IS FOUND here in Utah.
It is also prevalent across the United States
and throughout the world.

A patient's county of residence does not accurately reflect his or her Lyme disease risk because people travel, pets travel, and ticks travel. This creates a dynamic situation with many opportunities for exposure to Lyme disease for each individual.
LDS Church Announces New Guidelines to Prevent Insect-Borne Diseases

The LDS Church announced changes to its dress policy to help protect missionaries from biting insects that spread diseases. The Church also announced it will pay for permethrin insecticide solution and DEET-containing insect repellent for all missionaries worldwide.

Thanks to a very generous donation by YESCO and the Mike Young family, four electronic billboards like the one pictured are active along the Wasatch Front through June and July.
